The Carnegie School
The Carnegie School was established in 1996, by former Trinity Grammar School teacher, Dr. Jon Carnegie. The school was set up as a place for young people who are seeking something different to the mainstream schooling experience. All students at the school work on individual learning plans, and progress is measured as much by social and emotional development as it is by academic achievement. The school’s curriculum is designed to enhance student motivation, self esteem and discipline, while maintaining high standards in numeracy and literacy. At TCS we celebrate the differences and encourage creativity. Our program is designed for the whole community, encouraging parents and care givers as well as students to participate in activities on a regular basis.
